About Citorial
A small, independently-operated SaaS for e-commerce brands trying to figure out where they stand inside AI search — and what to do about it.
What we do
Citorial is the AI search visibility team that e-commerce brands hire when they want to be the brand AI recommends. We measure how the brand appears in ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Grok, and DeepSeek today; we publish your official brand page on our domain; we ship the rewritten product descriptions and content that get your brand recommended; and we re-check monthly so the customer sees what is working.
The customer doesn't have to assemble a playbook, hire a specialist, or coordinate vendors. One 5-minute briefing, and we do the rest. They stay focused on their product; we own the AI channel.
By 2030, a meaningful share of all consumer product research will start inside an AI conversation rather than on a search engine results page. That shift is already well underway — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Claude together field hundreds of millions of product queries every month — but most e-commerce brands are still operating as if Google were the only channel that matters. The brands that figure out AI search visibility in 2026 will lock in a 5–10 year advantage. The ones that wait will spend three times as much to catch up.
That gap — between "this obviously matters" and "here's a concrete, measurable thing being done about it" — is exactly what we built Citorial to close. We don't believe AI search will "replace SEO"; we believe Google rank alone is now an incomplete visibility metric, and that somebody has to actually do the work to fix that. That somebody is us.
The team
Citorial is intentionally small — one founder, contractors as needed.
João Silva
Founder & operator
I'm a Brazilian solo founder. Before Citorial I built and shipped a number of independent SaaS products across the e-commerce and developer-tools space — always with a strong technical bias, always solo or near-solo. Citorial is the first one I've built with the specific goal of capturing the AI-search channel before it's commoditized.
Everything you see on this site — the audit pipeline, the customer dashboard, the brand page system, the content you're reading right now — was designed and shipped by me, often with significant assistance from AI tooling (Claude Code in particular). I think that's the model for one-person SaaS in this era, and I write about it occasionally on the blog.
The best way to reach me directly is hello@citorial.com — every email goes to my personal inbox. I read all of them, and I reply to all of them, usually inside one business day.
How we operate
One product, focused. Citorial does AI search visibility audits and the closely-related official brand page service. That's it. We're not trying to be an all-in-one marketing platform.
Honest measurement, never inflated numbers. Every claim in a Citorial audit is backed by verbatim AI responses we captured. If we say your brand was mentioned in 14% of the questions we asked, you can see the 14 questions (out of 100) where you were mentioned and the 86 where you weren't.
No DRM, no walls around your data. The PDF report you receive is yours — share it, quote it, hand it to an agency, do whatever helps. The audit data behind it is available on request.
Refunds without friction. If we miss the mark, you write to us and we refund — see the refund policy. The whole industry has trained customers to expect retention dark patterns; we'd rather lose the money than waste anyone's time.
